N0360 Trip of Taupo (Ending)

星期四, 09月 4th, 2008

Hey guys its my n0360 trip now! After a careful preparation, (coz none of us has never tried ski before + all of us are from the southren cities), we checked out around 1030 am. As we know that we would only be charged in half price after lunch time,  we decided to hv a nice breakfast to top up some energy. we chose a breakfast bar called “Teasty Cafe” with nice and warm enviornment. Each of us ordered a lot….food was nicely displayed on big white plates. we didnt take any photos at this time, when acturally we should do. The rain stopped us getting camera from the car.
Nice breakfast made us feel even better…full of energy, full of happiness….

We went to the mountain staight away after that. road had been broked due to the heavy rain. Thus, we took the bus instead of driving ourselves to the ski place. The bus was old and seems could be broken down easily. however, i have no time to worry about da. coz i cant stop to fall in the happiness of the 1st time snow viewing….

it was so cold up on the mountain. i covered everywhere and couldnt move easily.

the long trip was ended by a nice and warm spa in Rototura. I LOVE SPA…..so do my frds. Thus, there is no doubt that our plan must include a nice spa enjoyment. we had nice dinner overthere, although a bit more expensive than in Hamilton and Auckland. However, who cares … i love my frds, we all understand how 2enjoy a trip … daz my frds!~!~

after the fantastic spa … we came bk ham … i was so tired and cant help to fall in sleep. Tracy and Stella was cooking supper, bt i cant wait anymore……………..[em]e108[/em]sleepin …

the most beautiful holiday trip i have had during the year & maybe the only last one too~~~~
thx to my lovely girls …

Put Your Heart in Hua Shan and Relax Your Soul

星期四, 09月 4th, 2008

In April, spring was coming. Every corner of the city was filled with activity and people began their busy work. With stressful and speedy pace, people eager to find something about nature. One of my friends gave us a good idea which was to visit Hua Shan. It was raining in the weekend, but we thought that rainy day must have its own particularity.

There were many people in Hua Shan though it was raining. Enquiring, we knew that the next day there would held sacrificial ceremony which had begun in Qing dynasty. Standing in the foot of the mountain we could see the whole outline of Hua Shan which was very grand and great. We could not see the top of the mountain but cloud an fog in the mountainside. I thought that the next day I would stand on the top of the mountain and the whole world would be under my feet. (more…)

A day trip in Lilydale

星期日, 08月 10th, 2008

I get on the bus 901 in knox s.c. stop and it takes about 30min to go to the Ringwood train station and then around 15 min for the train to reach Lilydale, the destination of my trip. Both the bus and the train are clean with few passengers, quite comfortable.

Leaving Lylidale station, passing the bus park, following the passengers i walk to a main street. Suddenly i find a post standing by the street showing with big words “Lilydale Campus of Swinbourn University —> ” That is really a surprise to me: How can it be found so easily ! (more…)

Thailand Trip

星期日, 03月 23rd, 2008

Itinerary: Jiangyin–Shanghai –Bangkok-take plain to Phuket-take ferry to Phi Phi Island, same way back to Phuket-BKK-SHA. Six days in Thailand, it’s a fantastic trip.

Shanghai It’s two months since I went back to Jiangyin. But this time, it was only a short stop for Bangkok. I didn’t have time to see more but rush for flight departure.

Bangkok - Bansabai PH said it was the nearest and cheapest hotel to the airport. Maybe last month it was true but not in Oct. it’s now neither nearest nor cheapest one. The international airport has been effected since Sep 28 just after the farcical military coup. We didn’t have chance to experience the old airport. Yes, it’s a truly beautiful and gallant airport like Pudong Airport in Shanghai. Maybe more imposing and splendid in my point of view but the management was awfully confusing. Parking lot was so big that the driver who came to pick us up got lost to find his van. After 30m, we were on the way to Bansabai, tired but excited.   (more…)

My Unforgettable Trip to Hong Kong

My Unforgettable Trip to Hong Kong
—–Reflection on HKMUNC 2008

Never shall I forget about the trip to Hong Kong which will definitely for long remain in my memory. Generally and honestly speaking, what Hong Kong impressed me, in fact all along, is not only the amazing, astonishing and astounding prospect of its prosperity and luxury, but also the very civilization deeply rooted in the culture of the city as well as its residents. I do dwell in a prosperous city, or else romantic to be exact as generally acknowledged; people do at times cast with absolute respect and jealousy their eyes to me for my status as a Dalianer. True as both the above-mentioned facts have invariably been, the city of Hong Kong turns out to provide me with quite a different experience. In addition, this is after all my first time to step out of Dalian for so faraway a place.

To obtain the opportunity to be as a representative of my school-DLUFL-was beyond expectation and unquestionably brought me great happiness though couples of difficult-handling problems appeared unexpectedly in the way. Informed the other day of there being an interview the next day to elect some delegates for the participation of HKMUNC 2008, which is short for Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference 2008, I was extremely delighted even sort of exhilarated. It had been long since I heard from my pals in other prestigious universities the existence of MUN, yet I had hardly had the slightest idea of connecting myself to it. Nevertheless, it was a yearning, at the bottom of my heart. Not in the least taking it for granted, I spent a whole afternoon preparing for the next day’s interview in every attempt to equip myself with everything related to United Nations. To owe the truth, never had I had scrammed up like this. The next morning when I awakened I found I had forgotten most of what had been pushed into my head. With not so much confidence I walked into the interview room, heart pounding wildly while pretending to be calm and natural, and left everything to be decided by God. Having perfectly finished reading aloud a paragraph of the given article and its translation, I went on to answer two questions. The performance was to myself not so satisfying as had been expected, with a misunderstanding of the first question, however, everything was done. The rest of the day before I finally got the word that I had been chosen seemed to me unbearably long, which is no less than suffering and torture. Of course God blessed me in the end. I was one of the six representatives to represent our school. My inspiration and passion were not in futile at all. (more…)
