A visit to Dubai Museum

Friday, December 19th, 2008

A visit to the museum is must on every Dubai itinerary. Housed within the beaut
ifully restored Al Fahidi Fort, which was erected around 1787 to defend the city a
gainst invasion and was opened as a museum in 1971. The museum’s diverse collection of exhibits offers a fascinating insight into the rich history and cultural heritage of Dubai.

Artistically-designed static displays, hands-on exhibits, hologram-like movies
and information cases lead you gently through the lives and times of the city and
its people, from the third millenium B.C.to the present day. The domestic and
commercial life of a bygone era are vividly presented in realistic lifesize
dioramas. These provide re-creations of a labyrinthine souk and typical homes,as well as tableaux that bring to life the occupations, costumes and social customs of the day.Other exhibits focus on ancient artefacts, life in the desert and Dubai’senduring relationship with the sea.

N0376 hot trip for Women’s Heaven

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

What I’m talking about is not Japanese women’s social status. Women don’t need to work after getting married. Their husbands will support them and the wives are responsible for doing housework and bringing up children. Is it good news or bad news? It really depends. For the wife of the Japanese prince, it’s certainly a bad news. Being so talented and sociable, she is now confined to the prison like palace and becomes tool for carrying the ancestral line which left her depressed. However, for both girls and women who like all the amazing stuffs for the female creature, Japan is undoubtedly a heavenly place. (more…)

Business trip in tokyo

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

I went to tokyo for a business trip last week. It’s the first time for me to go abroad. However ,I’m a little disappointed. I don’t have the feeling of being abroad. The people and working atmosphere are almost the same. The buildings in tokyo are out of fashion. They are the representitives of last century. The streets are clean and crowded. People all went quickly everywhere. The vegetables and fruits are more expensive in the department shop. So I usually had a lot at breakfast in the hotel.Anyway, the people there are very polite. They say hello thank you and welcome whenever possible. How about the food? It’s healthy because it contains less oil but not very delicious. I bought cosmetics there for my sisters.
