19th International Easter Dance Days

[April 3 - 9, 2009] One of the absolute highlights of this year’s Performance Days will be the Long Night of Dance, to be held for the first time

This year’s 19th International Easter Dance Days and 9th Salzburg Performance Days will present a combination of dance, folklore, exercise, body awareness, fitness, performance and theatre on a high international scale.

One of the absolute highlights of this year’s Performance Days, per.form>d<ance #9, will be the Long Night of Dance, to be held for the first time on April 3, 2009. The event was taken by storm: over 250 applications were submitted, including several applications from the USA and Brazil. The six best performances will be presented at the ARGEkultur on April 3.

In addition to high-caliber stage presentations during the per.form>d<ance #9 festival, participants will be able to experience the joy of movement in one of the many workshops held by internationally renowned instructors throughout the week. The program will include courses for young and old, for people with or without disabilities, workshops for beginners and advanced levels. Attentive observers will note that this year’s program featuring Quim Bigas, Olga Cobos and Peter Mika “secretly” focuses on Spain.
