Blue Christmas - surprise to me

I unexpectedly received my Nigerian pal’s phone on Thursday afternoon, whose name is Vitor,my top immigrant agent Mr.Onayi’s nephew,he’s a tall, fat, laid-back,humourous with cheerfulness.Actually, I neither expected his international long-distance call from the western shore of Altantic,nor did I think that I would hear his long voice since I returned to our soil for several months.

I’m so happy to have his nice greeting before his New Year–the blue Christmas is drawing near.I deemed that some good Nigerian friends might have absolutely forgotten me, but not.He disclosed to me the that thatsome have been always getting me and my contact way;some wants to call me but failed, as they cannot afford the costly fee.I know the inflation in Africa is so heavy that the poor can’t afford the school fees,and the low paycheck is not allowed them to be paid for a domestic call.As you may understand,most of whom abandoned the opportunities of University’s studies, some even dropped out of college for weeks on account of the low-income.I knew they can do virtually and kind of work.They don’t care if it’s heavy lifting work.They’ll dig a ditch if they have to dig a ditch to make some money.And I understood the classes would be resumed when they have enough money.My friend Vitor is the very above-mentioned kind of person.I recollected that he said he would restart his university study next year when he was invited to have a hot pot in a Taiwanese Restaurant in Lagos before my departure.I as a foreign friend, of course,sincerely hope his dream would come true, because it is his biggest dream.I still remembered that when we talked about the difference of the education between our two nations, he explained he prefered his western educations stype to China’s because the Chinese examination system is unacceptable to him with high pressure.When I got his point,I could know he was quite clued-up and paid a lot attention to our own traditional Chinese culture,although he never flied to China.haha…I hope one day he will make his own trip in China,and will show him everywhere…
