Impressions/Sentiment of The Year of Sharing

I have done a simplized novel which called The Year of Sharing recently. It mentioned people’s life in future — five hundred years from now — there were no cars, only bicycles; no cities, only villages; also no facotries. People didn’t eat meat, only fruits and vegetables and lived in areas which were surrounded by walls. But the animals lived outside the walls.

Richard — a 12-year old boy — was having his the year of sharing. The year of sharing means that people share for one year life with wild animals outside of the walls when they reach 12 . Eveyone had the year of sharing, half of them never came back. They died.

People hold a party for the 12-year old children evey spring. Put a mini recorder in every child’s nose to record every sound child makes, also the sound around the recorder holder.
End of the party, Richard’s father came and said good-bye to him, then the doctor, Richard fall in sleep.

When he wake up he was with deers, there were four deers: father, mother, brother and a little girl deer in his new family. Which made him a little disappointed, he wanted a wild and strong and faster animial ,but deers.

Eveyone had their job in that deer family. Father was keeping walking in a slow circle around them, and kept smelling the wind, listening the noise from distance. Mother asked “where are you?”, “where are you?” continually. Richard and the girl baby would answer “ I am here.”, sometimes the older deer — brother deer also answered “ I am here.” But no one listened.

Richard was cold and hungry with his new family, deer father would not allow him away from deer girl baby and mother to hunt fruits to eat. The deer family thought Richard was deer baby, because he smelled like. At last, he drank mother’s milk and sleep next to mother and boby, it made him more comfortable.
