Pride and Prejudice is Jane Austen’s representative in the history of world literature distributed bright light. When I read this book, more to appreciate its value.

Pride and Prejudice tells the story of Elizabeth and Darcy’s love story. The book begins as the main character Elizabeth Bennet and her family has just heard of the arrival of a very rich man named Charles Bingley was coming Hertfordshire where they lived. The Bennet girls and Mr. Bingley were introduced at a dance. He loved Jane at first sight .Darcy, which was Bingley’s good friend, was fond of Elizabeth. But his pride temper and the smear from Wickham leaded Elizabeth to misunderstand and were biased against Darcy.

Darcy can’t restrain himself from loving Elizabeth, so he proposed to her, but his attitude was still so arrogant .Elizabeth had declined firmly. This hit made Darcy noticed the consequence from proud and conceited for the first time. He has left her painfully, before leaving he left a long letter to explain the things around him and Elizabeth. She regretted after reading it. Not only feel guilty for misunderstanding of Darcy, but also ashamed for the behavior of her mother.

She had changed her views of Darcy gradually. Darcy met Elizabeth in his own manor again, his sincere attitude and thorough etiquette made Elizabeth considerably surprised. Finally, they walked out of the frog which was pride and prejudice .This is called a perfect ending.

When I read this book, I spent one month reading it. I read twice and I also watch the movie. I love the Elizabeth and Darcy’s love story. Because of prejudice, misunderstand and price. They have a long time experience. At last, they walked out of the frog which was price and prejudice. Darcy had a love and respect, and the story ends happily with Lydia marrying Mr. Wickham, Jane marrying Mr. Bingley and Elizabeth marrying Mr. Darcy.

Give me a deep impression is Elizabeth’s words. She said that “the man in the world I do not want to get married and he’s you.” In fact, at this time she is no longer love Wickham. But Darcy’s pride temper and conceited made her angry. When he daring her to marry him, she not only turned down his well-intentioned, but also said something break his heart. This made Darcy very painful, so he wrote a long letter to explain his mind. And help Elizabeth to solve her sister’s marriage. Elizabeth’s feelings towards him begin to change drastically. And she is moved what Darcy did for her. At last she found that she loves him, so when Mr. Darcy second time ask her to marry him, she say yes. And they decide to get married.

This book uses the story of Elizabeth and Darcy’s love story as the main line, which also describes other people’s love and marriage, as well as the 18th century British upper class and township residents living in order to show love and value for the author.

The book’s main character smart, courage, vision and a strong self-esteem and good at thinking. She is a good honest woman of her feelings on the first marriage, unlike her mother or sister, money or marital status as a major factor. She think that it is wrong to get married for the property, money and position； Get married and does not consider that above-mentioned factors are unwise too . So, she objects to getting married for money, objecting to regarding the marriage as a trifling matter. She emphasizes the importance of the ideal marriage, and regard men and women’s emotion as the foundation stone which concludes the ideal marriage. Elizabeth’s different attitudes of the propose actually had showed that female pursued independent personality and equal right. This is the progressive meaning of this figure.

Another main character Darcy was a very popular image, played at the time of his birth in order to be rich, powerful and arrogant quickly attracted the reader’s eye. The children of rich Darcy in the short-term exchanges are deeply in love with the beautiful Elizabeth and regardless of family status and wealth gap, he asked her to marry him, but mercilessly rejected, because Elizabeth was the arrogance of the West Very much on his misunderstanding and prejudice. But Darcy did not give up; he used his actions as Elizabeth confirmed its people, to show his good integrity.

Mr. Darcy is the second person I like in this book. Regardless of family status and wealth gap, he still keeps on loving Elizabeth. In order to love Elizabeth, he changes a lot and also through Elizabeth, he knows the consequence from proud and conceited. The self-knowledge acquired from Elizabeth’s rebukes and the desire to win Elizabeth’s love spur him to change and judge people more by their character than by their social class. At last Elizabeth See he change the proud conceited expressions of passing by, dispel misunderstanding and prejudice to him Thus concluded the happy marriage with him.

The author of the art of writing is that she did not write this section of Elizabeth and Darcy marriage, but to write a lot of people love. Elizabeth’s mother to daughter married off to each and marry a rich, status of human purpose; Bennet family’s youngest daughter love vanity, and military officers fighting is fun to make fun of her life; Darcy’s aunt believes that Darcy substantial income, high-status, Elizabeth Darcy is not good enough … … so a variety of love, in fact, the author want to express: the marriage only for property, money and status is a total wrong. And not consider above-mentioned facts are also stupid. Jane Austen emphasized the importance of ideal marriage, and she think the base of the marriage was the true love between the man and the women.

When I read after this book, I can learn something from it; base of the marriage was the true love between the man and the women. Money and status of marriage and foolish.
