love story - with Captain Corelli
Posted by Yuka as Movies
Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.Last night i finished this movie ,today i reviewed.Nicolas Cage,I really love this fallen angel in blue. The World War II brought so many things to the Greek island, among them there are a troop from Italy, and a touching love story .
At the begining, i was so eager to see Cage, but i just got a kind doctor grandpa and a story between a couple .I was wondering whether i had opened the right movie or not. After checking i ‘m assured this is the one ,with the right name and Nicolas Cage.
With a groop of soldiers , at the head top ,Cage finally appeared,in a set of uniform ,he was so cool ,seems golden.Only one glance between him and Penelope ,i finally could make sure who are the leading roles in this love story.
I didn’t know what is mandolin until i watched this movie. The sound it makes could reach the deep bottom of one’s heart ,i guess that ’s why our captain took it with him to this war. There is also another piece later in the movie ,mandolin together with guita, it sounds even more fabulous.
These Italian soldiers shocked me with their talent in singing and music.I’m still searching for the italian song in the ball. It’s a chorus and the conductor is the German captain. That is very impressive.
Our pretty Perogia (by Penelope)gave us a wonderful daning show in the party ,i guess it’s tango. It kills my eyes.
What is love in your mind?
It depends .
Our doctor grandpa said–”Love itself is what it left over when being in love has burned away.” In my mind it is a journey that we experience together with someone who we once met we would find our life meaningful.
Perogia’s fiance Mandelas also got his answer. When he was asked why he had saved Corelli, his words drag out my tears again—–”because i wanted you to love me again” A boy in love may tell u he could do everything for you , but only when he could even save the one that you loved dearly, can he become a man.
The war continues ,but nothing can set them apart. For they had already sank each other deep in their hearts.
Nowadays,we are living in such a busy world ,but can our hearts keep the same pace? Does it need to ?
I guess not, something is steadily engraved there ,our love .”The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return”-from Moulin Rough.Wherever we are,in the other city ,in another country ,or just like Mandelas - on the battlefield, it is the letters from the one we loved that enabled us to stick it out and survive.
