My Trip To England

Posted by Yuka as World

At the beginning of this year I went to England, I had never been there before, so it was really an exciting trip for me.

While listening to music, I noticed that our plane had already landed at London Heathow Airport. Stepping onto the ground of Great Britain, breating the cool and fresh air, I felt confortable even after 13-hour-long flight. As soon as I left the airport, I was on my way to the hotel. The time different between London and Bejing is eight hours, so I was a little sleep. On the way to the hotel, I discovered people drive on the other side of road from Chinese people do and the steering wheels are on the right side of the cars.
During this trip, I visited so many famous places, such as Buckingham Palace, The British Museum and the University of Oxford.

I was most excited to see Big Ben and The houses of Parliament with my own eyes because they had always been the symbols of London in my mind. Besides them, what I enjoyed more than anything else was a visit to the Tower Bridge. Walking along the River Thames in the sun, or just sitting on a wooden bench are both relaxing and unfortable experiences. Any time and anywhere you could be surprised by countless attractive tourist places and the views.

Another place I should mention is Windsor Castle. It is the biggest live-in castle in the U.K.. There is a very Romantic story about this castle. Henry VIII gave up the throne for love. He chose to be a duke and lived in this castle with his wife. The present Queen, Elizebeth II also lives there. There are so many Royal treasures there, you can see many drawings from famous artists, even some antique furniture and decorations from the Middle Ages. You’re not exaggerating if you say each room is an art exhibit.

Seven days later, I left England. I enjoyed my time there. As our plane took off, I told myself that I would definitely return someday.
