Before watching this movie, i always wonder how a movie that is produced inonly 38 days won the Oscar. But now, i got the answer. It really moved me emotionaly. Eastwood, I know him from the “The bridges of Madison County”, is good at telling a story to let audience deeply think about the life. As in the movie “the bridges of madison county”, it is a difficult choice between the family and the true love, in the end, Francesca chose to be with her family, and i think most audience will make the same decision as Francesca after watching the movie. Love is not the whole life, everybody has her responsibility. This time, again, “millor dollar baby” makes us to consider about the attitude to the life, the choices in the life. Maggie, who was a waitress since 13, said she grew up knowingone thing she was trash. To escape being a waitress for the rest of her life, she thought the boxing is theonly way. Although Frankie, a fighter trainer, told her that she was too old to be a fighter and refused to train her, she insisted her choice and kept on practising.

Finally, Frankie agreed to train Maggie. In more thanone year’s time, Maggie began to win in the fights. But Frankie was hesitate to let her fight for the title, due to an accident 23 years ago. He blamed himself for not throwing the towel, which caused Scrap to lose his right eye. But finally, Frankie chose to let Maggie and himself try again. Out of my imagine that they may succeed in the end, an accident happened in the fight, and Maggie was hurt badly that she had to lie on the bed for her rest life. What the feeling of Frankie that he faced such an accidentonce again because of his choice. But he was not knocked down by that. He took care of Maggie. Maggie did not regret to be a fighter. She thought that she had do somethings meaningful to be a fighter, and she had won the success. Then it is enough for the life. Knowing that she has to leave the boxing forever and lie on the bed for the rest of her lift, Maggie asked Frankie to let her go away. Frankie understanded Maggie, and he finally chose to help her disconnect the air-machine and inject enough drug to make sure Maggie will not suffer again.

Although, the movie makes you in tears, you still feel encourged by the determination of Maggie, by the confidence of Maggie in the fighting.Another point in the movie that touches me is the love beween Frankie and Maggie, not the love between men and women, but the love between a father and a daughter. When Frankie complained to the priest ” you know how difficult to train her, she always does not do what i asked “, it is like a father talking bout her daughter with others. And in the end, Frankie told Maggie that “you are my million dollar baby and MoCuishle means my darling, my blood”. What a deep love! The tears roll down from Maggie’s cheek, and mine either
